Blizzard is making it easier than ever to restore deleted characters in World of Warcraft with the upcoming update. Players will now be able to bring back characters they’ve deleted with just a few clicks. There is a brief 60-second delay between each restoration, and after restoring a character, you’ll need to refresh the character screen, switch realms, or log into another character before restoring another.

Update 10/3] Character Restoration Now Available — World of Warcraft — Blizzard News

A new Warbands system introduced in The War Within expansion, which will now include all characters on a player’s Battle.net account, along with shared items, collections, and progression.

While several aspects of World of Warcraft have already been shared across accounts for some time—essentially functioning as a Warband—such as pets, mounts, transmogs, and heirlooms, this new update significantly expands Warband integration. Here are some key enhancements:

  • New reputations and Renown progress will now be shared across your Warband.
  • A Warband bank will be introduced, allowing easier item storage and sharing between characters.
  • You will be able to collect most item appearances using any character in your Warband, even if that character can't equip the gear.

And now you will be able to restore deleted characters. Starting on October 15, a 7-day cooldown will be reinstated between character restorations, so it’s important to plan ahead if you need to recover multiple characters.

For those looking to restore a previously deleted character, it's highly recommended to do so before the pre-expansion content update goes live, as character restoration will be unavailable for a few weeks afterward. During this pre-expansion period, any newly deleted characters will also be ineligible for restoration.

To restore a deleted character, simply log into World of Warcraft and click the "Restore Character" button on the character selection screen. More details can be found on Blizzard's support page.
