Season of Discovery - All Priest Runes and Locations

Phase 1 Priest Runes (Levels 1-25)

Penance Rune – Level 2 (Gloves)

Since Penance is the earliest Rune you can get, each race has different ways of acquiring it in their early zones.

Humans

Speak with Priestess Anetta, the Priest Trainer at Northshire Abbey, to begin quest Meditation of the Light.
Head to Echo Ridge Mine and kill Kobold Laborers until they drop Memory of a Troubled Acolyte.
Return to Northshire Abbey and use /kneel emote to get the Meditation of the Light buff. Under the buff, use Memory of a Troubled Acolyte to get the rune.

Dwarves

Head to Anvilmar and speak with Branstock Khalder, the Priest Trainer, to begin Meditation of the Light quest.
Head to trogg camp nearby across the road and open a Rockjaw Footlocker to loot a Memory of a Troubled Acolyte.
Head back to the Priest Trainer and use /kneel near the Altar of Light in the same room. You will get the buff, and under the buff effect use Memory of a Troubled Acolyte to get the rune.

Night Elves

Head to Shadowglen, find Shanda, the Priest Trainer, and begin Meditation of Elune quest.
Go to the moonwell in north and use /kneel while inside to get both Memory of a Troubled Acolyte and the Meditation of Elune buff. Then use the Memory of a Troubled Acolyte to get the rune.

Trolls

Head to the Valley and speak with Ken'jai, the Priest Trainer to begin Wisdom of the Loa quest.
Go to Sen’jin Village, find the Load Altar, and type /kneel in front of it. Speak with the Loa to obtain a Memory of a Troubled Acolyte and the buff. Use the item to get the rune.

Undead

Go to Deathknell and speak with Dark Cleric Duesten, the Priest Trainer, to begin Meditation on Undeath quest.
Go to the graveyard outside, use /kneel emote to get a Memory of a Troubled Acolyte and the buff. Use the item to get the rune.

Homunculi Rune – Level 8 (Pants)

From now on, some of the runes will require you to have two different Meditation buffs before using the quest item. You can get the second one by kneeling in front of the altar of another race. For example, if you chose Human, you need to visit the Night Elves’ moonwell in Shadowglen.

To get this rune, you need to obtain Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel. This item drops from:

Elwynn Forest: Defias Rogue Wizards on the island in Stonecairn Lake
Dun Morogh: Frostmane Seers and Frostmane Shadowcasters at Shimmer Ridge
Teldrassil: Dark Sprites and Rascal Sprites at Fel Rock Cave north of Dolanaar
Durotar: Voodoo Trolls and Hexed Trolls at Echo Isles
Tirisfal Glades: Scarlet Missionary and Scarlet Warriors at the Solliden Farmstead

While under the effect of the two Meditations, use the Prophecy of a Desecrated Citadel to get the rune.

Void Plague Rune – Level 8 (Chest)

You will need to find Memory of a Dark Purpose that drops from:

Elwynn Forest: Goldtooth in Fargodeep Mine
Dun Morogh: Leper Gnomes near Gnomeregan
Teldrassil: inside a Gnarlpine Cache at the bottom of Ban’ethil Barrow Den
Durotar: Kul Tiras mobs at Tiragarde Keep
Tirisfal Glades: Gillgar near Solliden Farmstead

Prayer of Mending Rune – Level 8 (Pants)

For this rune, you will need a friend who plays Priest, Paladin, Druid, or Shaman.

Find Adventurer’s Remains, a corpse, in one of these locations:

Elwynn Forest: on a hill to the east of Jerod’s Landing (52.2, 84.7)
Dun Morogh: The Grizzled Den cave to the west of Kharanos (43, 49.6)
Teldrassil: Oracle Glade in the northwestern part (32, 35)
Durotar: Kolgar Crag in the southern part (48.0, 79.5)
Mulgore: travel through Venture Co. Mine (60, 36) and find it on a hill at the end (60, 33)

Interact with Adventurer’s Remains to begin a summoning ritual. Now, your friend must help you with the summoning by clicking on the portal. Adventurer’s Spirit will appear who holds the rune.

Shared Pain Rune – Level 10 (Pants)

For this rune, you will need Memory of an Imprisoned Savior item that drops from:

Kobold Geomancer and Kobold Miner in the Fargodeep Mine and Jasperlode Mine in Elwynn Forest
Captain Beld, a dwarf near Gol’Bar Quarry in Dun Morogh (77.9, 62.2)
Lord Melenas, a demon in a cave near Dolanaar in Teldrassil (52.8, 50.2)
Gazz'uz, an orc in Skull Rock Cave in Durotar (52.6, 8.8)
Makasgar, a troll along the southeastern coast of Durotar (62.0, 66.2)
Tirisfal farmers at Solliden Farmstead in Tirisfal Glades

Use the Memory of an Imprisoned Savior under the Meditations buff to get the rune.

Twisted Faith Rune – Level 10 (Chest)

This rune will require you to have 1 Priest Meditation buff. Let’s see how each race can obtain this rune:

Humans

Go to Westfall and kill a skeleton Undying Laborer near the Gold Coast Quarry to get a Memory of a Devout Champion.
Use the Memory of a Devout Champion to get the rune.

Dwarves

Go to Loch Modan and kill Tunnel Rat kobolds at Silver Stream Mine until they drop an Offering Coin.
Use the Offering Coin at the well in one of the tunnels to obtian a Memory of a Devout Champion.
Use the Memory of a Devout Champion to get the rune.

Night Elves

Go to Darkshore and kill Stormscale nagas at the Ruins of Mathystra until they drop a Shatterspear Offering.
Activate the underwater statue in the nearby pit to obtain a Memory of a Devout Champion.
Use the Memory of a Devout Champion to get the rune.

Undead

Go to Silverpine Forest and kill a Wailing Spirit at the cave south of Amber Mill (60, 74) to get a Memory of a Devout Champion.
Use the Memory of a Devout Champion to get the rune.

Trolls

Go to The Barrens and kill Razormanes northeast of The Crossroads until they drop a Helping Hand.
Find a dead player, Resurrect them, and use the Helping Hand to get a Memory of a Devout Champion.
Use the Memory of a Devout Champion to get the rune.

Mind Sear Rune – Level 10 (Gloves)

You will need to raise reputation to Friendly with Azeroth Commerce Authority or Durotar Supply and Logistics. Then you can buy the rune from a Supply Officer.

Shadow Word: Death Rune – Level 20 (Gloves)

Loot a Prophecy of a King's Demise from one of the following:

Humans: Go to Westfall, head to Jangolode Mine and kill Leprithus, a level 19 rare spawn nearby
Dwarves: Go to Loch Modan, head northeast and find a statue of a snake called Heretic Idol. Use it
Night Elves: Go to Auberdine and kill a Remnant, a glowing orb on a Swim to an island nearby.
Trolls: Go to Ratchet (57, 38) and look for a Desert Mirage wandering nearby (looks like a ghost). Use Dispel Magic on it
Undead: Go to Silverpine Forest, head to the fortress on Fenris Isle, go up to the upper floor, and loot the scroll behind Thule Ravenclaw

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, use the Prophecy of a King's Demise to get the rune.

Serendipity Rune – Level 20 (Chest)

Visit Grizzby in Ratchet, who will give you a series of quests to obtain certain items:

Fish Oil x24
Dark Iron Ordinance x20
Shredder Turbocharger x16

You can either grind for them or buy them in the Auction House.

Upon collecting all the items and handing them in, he will give you a quest Let Me Make You An Offer.

Turn in the quest in your respective faction city and return to Grizzby to buy the rune.

Strength of Soul Rune – Level 24 (Chest)

Go to Ashenvale and kill Thistlefur furbolgs at Thistlefur Village until they drop a Primal Insight.

Use the Primal Insight near a tree up the hill to obtain a Prophecy of Seven Visitors.

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, and use the Prophecy of Seven Visitors to get the rune.

Circle of Healing Rune – Level 25 (Gloves)

Kill Defias bandits around the farms in southwestern Duskwood until they drop a Dark Insight.

Use the Dark Insight near a grave in the northeast corner of the zone to get a Prophecy of a Thousand Lights.

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, use the Prophecy of a Thousand Lights to get the rune.

Power Word: Barrier Rune – Level 25 (Pants)

Kill Blackrock Shadowcasters at Stonewatch Keep in Redridge Mountains until they drop a Prophecy of a City Enthralled.

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, use the Prophecy of a City Enthralled to get the rune.

Phase 2 Priest Runes (Levels 25-40)

Dispersion Rune (Boots)

This quest can be obtained much easier if you find a Priest who can share the quest with you.

Also, you can buy Deciphered Troll Scroll from the Auction House. If you buy it, skip steps 1 and 2.

1. Group up with a Rogue with the Master of Subtlety rune and Jani's Charm and ask them to pickpocket trolls in Stranglethorn Vale to get a Mysterious Troll Scroll. You can also buy this scroll from the Auction House but it’s easier to buy the deciphered version.

2. Now we need to decipher the scroll. Ask a Mage to decipher the Scroll with a Comprehension Charm to get a Deciphered Troll Scroll, which starts the quest The Troll Scroll.

3. Go to the fountain in southern Stranglethorn Vale and use it to get Holy Spring Water.

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, kill Gan'zulah, a level 41 troll in northwest Stranglethorn Vale.

Pour the Holy Spring Water into the fountain behind Gan'zulah and interact with the fountain to get the rune.

Empowered Renew Rune (Belt)

Go to the Thousand Needles and kill Grimtotem mobs on top of the pillars near the Lift until they drop a Prophecy of the Quickened Path.

While under the effect of 2 Meditation buffs, use the Prophecy of the Quickened Path to get the rune.

Mind Spike Rune (Belt)

Go to Desolace, go to the Kodo Graveyard, and find the Extinguished Campfire nearby. Interact with it to begin the quest Highway Robbery.

Find Bibbly F'utzbuckle in Desolace in the northern crossroads to continue the quest On the Lam.

Find Tokal inside the inn at Booty Bay to begin the quest Cherry for Your Thoughts?

Buy a Cherry Grog from Nixxrax Fillamug nearby and bring it to Tokal to get the quest No Honor Among Thieves.

Interact with the boat on the southern shore of Arathi Highlands near the bridge to travel to the east coast.

Speak to Illari Duskfeather. If you’re Alliance, agree with her; if you’re Horde, fight her for the key.

Open the Jewel-Encrusted Box nearby to loot the rune.

Pain Suppression Rune (Boots)

You will need to visit graves at multiple locations and get Echoes by interacting with these graves:

Arathi Highlands: behind the barn at Go’shek Farm (62.2, 54.5)
Dustwallow Marsh: in the graveyard across from Theramore Isle
Swamp of Sorrows: at Splinterspear Junction near the entrance to the zone
Scarlet Monastery Graveyard: in the back corner of the graveyard area

Then go to Scarlet Monastery Library and activate the statues in one of the hallways in this order:

Blake Godwyn – Warrior Statue – Swamp Echo
Primwell Skye – Mage Statue – Arathi Echo
Janet Kaitway – Paladin Statue – Theramore Echo
Brother Paxwell – Priest Statue – Graveyard Echo

Interact with the orb that spawns to get the rune.

Renewed Hope Rune (Belt)

Kill naga off the northwest coast of Desolace until they drop an Unsettling Vision.

Use Mind Control on a Tide Priestess and buff yourself with the Meditation on the Abyss spell.

While under the effect of Meditation on the Abyss, use the Unsettling Vision item to get the rune.

Spirit of the Redeemer Rune (Boots) – Level 40

Find Dalaran Agent at Ariden’s Camp in the northeast of Deadwind Pass to get Ariden's Sigil.

Equip Ariden's Sigil and look for places where you get the Dark Presence buff:

Duskwood (23, 47)
Deadwind Pass (43, 29)
Swamp of Sorrows (69, 28)
Arathi Highlands (60, 40)
Badlands (58, 54)
The Barrens (52, 36)
Desolace (65, 25)

When you have Dark Presence in each of these places, use Ariden's Sigil to summon a Dark Rider, a level 41 elite, and kill it to loot a relic.

When you have all seven relics, return to the Dalaran Agent to trade them in for your rune.
